巴基斯坦地震

2013年9月24日晚，一场强震袭击了巴基斯坦的边远山区——俾路支省。该省是巴基斯坦最大但人口最少的省。据当地官员报告，由于地震发生在偏远地区，从而避免了重大的破坏和人员伤亡。
本次地震的震级为里氏7.8级，远至新德里均有震感。主震过后预计还将发生高达5级的余震。
据报道，地震已造成200余人死亡，近400人受伤。该地区已经发布红色预警，代表预计将有多于1000人死亡，并带来超过10亿美元的财产损失。
据报道，阿瓦兰区有整座村庄在地震中被摧毁，这些地方的房屋大都由泥土建造，几乎没有抗震能力。
当地媒体报道称，地震发生后，一座新的岛屿从巴基斯坦瓜达尔地区海岸线外约1公里处的海面下抬升出来。
