Description of Event
Hurricane Dean made landfall earlier on 21 August around 08:30 local time on the East coast of the Yucatan Peninsula near Costa Maya, about 65 km East-North-East of Chetumal in Mexico. When hitting Mexico, Hurricane Dean was classified a category 5 cyclone.11 people were reported dead.
