Crisis space-map at 1:500,000 over the area south of Paramaribo to Pr. Van Blommestein Meer, comprised of the interpretation of multitemporal ENVISAT imagery, showing the partial mapping of potentially flooded areas through openings in the forest cover. This interpretation was complemented by the interpretation of a cloudy SPOT5 crisis image. Reference water bodies were derived from Landsat 7 ETM+ data to facilitate the interpretation and NGA VMAP roads and placenames were also mapped.

Crisis space-map at 1:125,000 over an area to the south of Paramaribo, Suriname, showing in blue cyan colours reference water bodies mapped from Landsat 7 ETM+ data superimposed onto a crisis SPOT5 2.5m natural colours image. Possibly affected areas detected from ENVISAT (14 May 2006) and SPOT5 data (13 May 2006) are only indicated in open non-forested areas. This partial detection is highlighted by interpreted envelopes. Major roads were derived from Landsat 7 ETM+ data to facilitate the interpretation; NGA placenames were also mapped.
